About Me
My name is Cynthia Wang. I am a freelance writer and photographer from Taiwan. I have been working as a column writer and photographer for several media outlets.
Currently, I am constantly traveling between different countries for more human stories. I write a variety of news reports, feature stories, and commentary op-ed articles, related news photographs provided. I am also working as a portrait photographer. If you are interested in my projects or would like to cooperate with me, you can contact me for more information.
After graduated with a dual BA degree in Arabic Language & Culture and Journalism, I worked as the international new editor in one of the biggest daily newspaper "The China Post" in Taiwan.
I obtained my Master degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2016. My main research focus fell on linguistic, media representation, human rights issue and racism. Upon finishing the degree, I felt the urge inside my that had aways been there to go to the Middle Eastern country to report and record stories witnessed by my own eyes, through my own words and camera lenses. I went to Palestine- a place that I had been researching and studying throughout my MA degree academic pursuit. I fell deeply in love with the land, the culture, and people. I initiated my own photo projects to demonstrate the beauty of Keffiyeh scarf, Palestinian traditional dresses and the dynamic, full of history Palestinian food.
